A fantastically conceived cool underground bar in Chainatown, Wasington, DC. In 2006 the owners approached me about work to be bought and commissioned and came up with the brilliant idea of naming the bar after my sculptures! It started with 2 vintage vacuum cleaner rocketships hung above the bars, and 8 thermos rockets on the walls. After much success and expansion they commissioned murals and other art from other artists such as the great Kay Christy, and of course, more rockets! Last year they wanted something in keeping the surrounding neon of the neighborhood so I built this Art-Deco collosus for the front of the building. A company in Maryland did all the neon work to my specs, and company personel did the fantastic install. One of the coolest places to see my art and have a drink!
